The Namahage Sedo Festival is held every year for three days on Friday, Saturday and Sunday on the second week of February, in Shinzan Shrine, Oga City. This festival is a winter tourist event that combines the Shinto ritual “Sedo Matsuri; matsuri written in kanji" and the folkloric event "Namahage". The brave and powerful dance of the Namahage under the burning bush lanterns in the precincts of Shinzan Shrine fascinates everyone who sees it.
